Opens and link clicks in Gmail and Outlook, replies in Gmail, with scanners and your own opens filtered out. When we cannot be sure a person read your email, we say so: “Opened (likely)” or “Delivered / preview”, never a made-up “Read”. How we count opens.
Pixel, hidden pixel, CSS and font are loaded for each e-mail in Gmail (Outlook adds the same four), so a blocked image is less likely to leave you blind. More channels means more chances to see activity, not a guarantee.
Read means a real click, a reply whose arrival time we could confirm, or repeat opens from a real device. An Apple Mail privacy load, or a Gmail load in the first 5 minutes, shows as Delivered / preview; a Gmail load after that shows as Opened (likely). A smaller honest number beats a big wrong one.
A reply counts as confirmed only when we know who replied, it is not you, and Gmail gives us its real arrival time, at least 5 minutes after you sent. Otherwise it is shown as “Replied (unconfirmed)” and never as a read. Detection works in Gmail with the extension; connecting your Gmail for background checks is coming.
Most trackers say “opened” the moment any image loads. EmailSavy tells you how sure it is.
With the extension, replies are spotted in your Gmail while it is open. Connect your Gmail (coming) and EmailSavy can also check your tracked threads when Gmail is closed. Replies are detected in Gmail, not Outlook. A reply is confirmed only with its real arrival time; otherwise it shows as “Replied (unconfirmed)”. Detection can miss replies.
Read: a real click, a reply whose arrival time we could confirm, or repeat opens from a real device. Opened (likely): Gmail or a mail app loaded the images at least 5 minutes after sending, which usually means the recipient opened it (no location or device shown). Delivered / preview: only an automatic load, such as Apple Mail privacy or a scanner. Not opened: no activity.
In Gmail each e-mail carries a pixel, a hidden pixel, a CSS request and a font request (the same four in Outlook). If a client blocks one, another may still load.
Which links get clicked and when. Clicks within 10 seconds of sending, or several links clicked within 3 seconds, are treated as security scanners and not counted.
Looking at your Sent folder does not count. Fingerprint matching and the extension's own-view report keep your opens out of the numbers.
Known security scanners (Barracuda, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Microsoft Safe Links and others) are ignored. Apple Mail privacy loads are recognised and never counted as opened. A Gmail image load is shown as Opened (likely) only after 5 minutes, never as a confirmed read. Their location is hidden, not guessed.
A short list of e-mails that were confirmed read (for example clicked) but got no reply, so you know who to follow up with. It only lists reads we are sure of.
Every e-mail you sent a contact, with its state and a 0-100 engagement score built from confirmed reads, clicks and confirmed replies only (likely opens do not score).
Shown once you have 10 opens. It uses Read and Opened (likely) emails, counted once at their first open, and never Apple Mail or scanner loads, which fire the moment you send.
“Remind me in 3 days if no reply.” Browser notifications from the extension so a thread does not slip.
Export your tracked e-mails with their state, verified reads, clicks and replies for a spreadsheet or CRM.
Upload a CSV, map fields and send personalised Gmail messages with per-recipient tracking.
Here is exactly what we keep and what we never do.
We store the subject, sender and recipients of tracked emails, the web addresses of the links we track, and the activity on them (time, network address, browser and device details sent with each request). When a reply is detected we keep its first ~240 characters so you can recognise it. We never store the body of the emails you send, and we never read attachments.
Your tracking data is yours. We don't sell, share, or monetize your contact lists or engagement data.
The extension asks Chrome for 3 permissions (storage, notifications, alarms) plus access to Gmail, Outlook and EmailSavy pages.
The extension reads the Gmail page you are looking at (subject, recipients, reply chips). Connecting your Gmail account for background reply checks is optional, is not switched on yet, and will read only threads where you sent a tracked email.
Know whether a prospect read or clicked your proposal. See who read it and did not reply. Track which links they click.
Track investor emails, partnership outreach and hiring messages from one dashboard. See which ones were read and which were only delivered.
Know if clients clicked proposals and invoices. Set reminders for follow-ups. Export your tracking data.
